The Thrilling Conclusion to the Forager Trilogy

* The mystery of who shot Ethan Jones is finally revealed in this book. *

Ethan, Nanako, and the other foragers have fled Newhome after being accused of being terrorists.

However, with Captain Smithson's parting words of "Don't forget us," ringing in their minds, they realise the only way to save Newhome from the Hamamachi Rangers and their Skel allies is to document and expose the Rangers' villainy.

Yet what sounds like a workable plan is nothing of the sort, for they have to journey into the very heart of Skel territory to obtain the information they need.

Leigh's warning that "nothing ever goes as you want or plan it to," turns out to be prophetic. An assassin, a botched raid, and the Skel and Rangers stopping at nothing to prevent them from revealing the Rangers' activities all complicate matters.

To add to their woes, a word whispered in Ethan's ear by a new addition to their party brings his world crashing down about his ears. Moreover, should he share this information with Nanako, all her hopes and dreams for the future will be destroyed as well. The question is - how long can he keep such a secret from her?

Expatriate Forager A Dystopian Trilogy Book 3 eBook Peter R Stone

Aside from a few small word commissions, some wrong word choices, and various minor punctuation foibles, this series ROCKS! The addition of the Forager Impersonator trilogy fully rounds out these endearing characters. The world building is first rate, dialogue is mostly fresh and gives many characters their own unique voices, the descriptions are rich without being overly long or cloying. I am a big fan, and have bought all published works from this author available on Kindle.

It is a very rare author that can publish a finely polished work without the support of a substantial professional staff. Peter Stone is very good but not yet perfect.

Expatriate Forager A Dystopian Trilogy Book 3 eBook Peter R Stone Reviews

I am glad that I hung in there to finish the trilogy. I ran into some rough spots during the first 2 books. The third book really ties up the whole story quite nicely. All in all this trilogy was a great read and very thorough provoking about what it would be to live after the bombs have fallen.
Peter Stone is a gifted writer whose tales leap from the pages in a realistic and believable manner. Set in Melbourne, Australia and surrounds a century after an atomic war has devastated their country, his writings weave an entertaining and compelling story of life under a believable corrupt and authoritarian society.
Mr. Stone completed the trilogy as he started, a lot of action, no swearing, no gratuitous sex scenes. Everything moved the story along and, after all, isn't that the point? Thank you Mr. Stone, I'm off to find more of your books.
A very satisfying ending to the Forager series, but I really like the idea that the author is willing to consider continuing Ethan and Nanako's story if readers ask for it.... well, I'm definitely asking! Since it will be a while before that may happen, I'm looking forward to reading some of his other books.
Expatriate is the last book in the "Forager" series. I read them all and loved the books. I was given the first two by the author and enjoyed them so much, I purchased this last one. A great YA dystopian series. There is no swearing and the only sexual contents is implied. There is fighting and violence in the stories. At this point in time, societies have built up in different ways in different walled cities. Our two main characters are trying to bring the truth to light about what is happening and what has happened by city officials. Though this series is done, I will definitely be reading more by this author. I can recommend for ages 14 and up.
The author has made this one the most action packed book so far. He did a good job at keeping the story on track and giving you snippets of info so you can piece together the who back story. He kept the book clean and kept you interested. When you look back at the first book you can see how much he has progressed he has given life to a piece of paper with words. He is one author I have no complaints about he is a good writer and he is not a person that makes a book with cursing or inappropriate material. I would like just to say Thanks to Peter R. Stone for writing this and for keeping it clean because now a days you cannot find a book that doesn't involve sex, cussing, and drugs. It is important to lead by example to show them that they don't have to do that stuff to become famous.
Once again, Peter R. Stone shows that he can write an action-packed, suspenseful story that will keep the reader on the edge of their seat and turning each page in anticipation of what is going to happen next. In this thrilling conclusion to the Forager Trilogy, the action is more intense, the Rangers get what they deserve and the Skel (although still smelly and gross) get taken down - FINALLY! Also, a new girl arrives on the scene, Madison, and gives Ethan shocking information that shatters his world and threatens his marriage to Nanako. And finally we get the answer to the question we have all been asking - who the heck shot Ethan? - and I for one did not see that coming. At. All.

All this excitement and thrills are waiting for you as you open up this third and final installment to what I have found to be perhaps my favorite dystopian trilogy to date. I will miss Ethan, Nanako and the team and the fantastic journey I took with them.

With vivid descriptions of a war-torn society and characters that are relatable, I could not help but become totally engrossed in the world that Mr. Stone has created. So, thank you Mr. Stone for writing a series that is not only "clean" and suitable for all age groups, but for also providing this reader a thrilling escape from reality.
